The event brought together 49 key stakeholders from higher education institutions alongside tourism and hospitality businesses and government agencies. Event highlights: • Concept of sustainable tourism: Gave overview of sustainable tourism and skill demands in Lao labour market and beyond. • 8 non-degree courses: Introduced to help academics and students upgrade their professional skills and gain fresh insights into sustainable tourism. • Career counseling activities: Introduced sessions and programs on career counselling services to students and academic staff. • Stronger industry ties: Productive discussions on university-business cooperation, featuring direct insights and real-world experience shared by the Association of Lao Tour Guides.
