Entrance Exmination
The entrance examination for admission to study at the National University of Laos (NUOL) is going to be held on 12th, August, 2023. The placement test is going to be held in one day (morning and afternoon sessions): one set of paper tests is taken in the morning and another set of paper tests is taken in the afternoon. The NUOL placement test is divided in two parts including: Part A (STEM) and Part B (NON-STEM) and each part will be given on a separate paper test.
(Party A)
Part A takes 2 sets of paper test:
Mathematics A+Physics will be taken in the morning session in 120 minutes, from 09:00 - 11:00. In the afternoon, the Lao Literature+Chemistry+Biology+English paper test will be taken in 60 minutes from 14:00-15:00
(Party B)
Mathematics B +Lao Language Literature will be taken in the morning session in 120 minutes, started from 09:00 - 11:00. In the afternoon, the Geography+History+English paper test will be taken in 90 minutes from 14:00-15:00
Documents to Prepare
Documents must be prepared to get permission before taking the examination Examination applicants or examinees must bring 40.000 kip to pay for the NUOL placement test fee. Other costs may include: the fee of the exam guideline book, the tools for taking the exam, a permission card sheet in the case of changing study field and losing the exam permission card.
- For examinees who are government or private employees and the ones who graduated before the academic year 2022-2023.
- Copy of graduation certificate from Upper Secondary School Grade 7
- Two photos size 3x4 taken within the past 3 months
