Zhejiang Normal University has been enjoying a rapid development in recent years. Last year, the university hit a new record (the 80^th) in the history for her ranking among over 2,000 Chinese universities and colleges.

Zhejiang Normal University is vigorously promoting the process of internationalization currently. The university is now attracting more and more international students. Here, we’d like to introduce to you two types of scholarships for studying at ZJNU. The Korean Government invites excellent students who are majoring in the fields of science and engineering at the universities and colleges of the 10 designated ASEAN countries. This training program is designed to provide students with an in-depth academic training in the science and engineering fields and invaluable experience in Korea. This program seeks to nurture future leaders who will contribute to the development of global society and further friendship between Korea and their home country. Students who are interested in this training program are welcome to apply.

1. Title: 2015 GKS for ASEAN countries' Science and Engineering Students

2. Period: July 6^th (Monday) ~ August 14^th (Friday) 2015

3. Host organization: National Institute for International Education (NIIED), Ministry of Education, Republic of Korea

4. Benefits:

1. NIIED and/or the training institutions will be responsible for round trip air ticket, room and board during the duration of the program, and traveler’s insurance.
2. Participants will be responsible for transportation fare in his/her country, visa fee, etc.

5. Others:

1. The program will be offered in English.
2. Students will stay in university dormitories (2~3 persons per room, mostly Korean food will be provided).
3. The program staff will be with students during the whole program.
4. All lectures/events for this program will be mandatory. Participation during the weekend may be required.
5. It is desirable that students make efforts to understand Korean language, education, culture and etc. by visiting our website (www.studyinkorea.go.kr) before their arrival in Korea.

 6. Eligibility:

1. Be Lao citizen;
2. Be matriculated as full-time undergraduate students at National University of Laos;
3. Be 2^nd-4^th year student of Faculty of Natural Science and Engineering;
4. Have achieved GPA at least 3.00 from the previous years;
5. Have solid fundamental knowledge of Mobile Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, Information and Communication Engineering, Intelligent Materials & Component, and Applied Biology.
6. Have high command of English skills, especially speaking skills;
7. Have a valid passport (at least 7 months prior to expiry);
8. Have good and strong both physical and mental health; and
9. Be able to respond for meals and other personal expenses during the program

It is a great pleasure to inform you that Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) is hosting Airlangga Summer Program (ASP) from 26 July to 1 August 2015.

Airlangga Summer Program 2015 opens for 20 targeted international students; it offers a closed observation on creative industry in Indonesia. It emphasizes creative industry of Batik home industry and explores other creative industry, such as hand crafting of recycled good and knitted wear industry.  It focuses on exploring theirs perceived economic, cultural and traditional values, how they keep up with  consumer’s needs and market desire in Indonesia; and how it introduces a new culture as a part of it with online shopping and how it produces new challenges such as intellectual property rights . 

It delivers you to look closely to the creative industry in a way that the unlimited human creativity utilizes the cultural and traditional value into a widely acceptable product globally; how it uses less natural resources and benefits recyclable goods, compare to the traditional manufacturing industry; and open more employment especially for Small Medium Enterprise (SME).

This short program combines interactive classes, workshop visits/field trips to some SME’s workshops around the city of Surabaya (such as Batik workshop, leather crafts and recycle home industry) and a cultural trip.

The Tokyo University of Agriculture (Tokyo NODAI) will hold the 15^th International Students Summit (ISS) in Tokyo in 2015.  

The ISS aims to creating a platform for youth around the globe to discuss on challenges and solutions for food production and safety, environmental conservation, energy and human health. Also at the same time it provides a chance for the youth to take actions in innovative approach to build local resilience and promote awareness to global challenges. The youth participants will be grouped to discuss on clarifying the framework of student activities as to the rationale, methods, implication and constraints in order to students can contribute to the solution of global problems. Finally, the youth will have an opportunity to explore Tokyo through the field trip and network with other participants from different countries.

Summit:

1. When:          1^st-2^nd October 2015
2. Where:         Tokyo University of Agriculture (Tokyo NODAI), Tokyo, Japan
3. Support:      The successful applicant will be rewarded a scholarship for round trip tickets, domestic transportation, meal, accommodation and field trip.
